Stop the Bleed

Civilian Medic brings a new perspective on Stop the Bleed program. Includes additional training on emergency equipment and preparedness. Max class size 10, minimum 6. Certificate granted after successful completion of the course. Duration: 60 minutes

Civilian Medic Basics 101

CM Basics is based on skills and protocols from Tactical Combat Casualty Care. Skills taught include: Recognition and assessment of scene safety and massive hemorrhage, whole body sweep, tourniquet use, use of hemostatic gauze, airway management, insertion of nasopharyngeal airway, recognition of tension pneumothorax, use of chest seals, assessment and prevention of shock and hypothermia, review of essential civilian medical gear needed for all life settings. 8 students per class. Certificate granted after successful completion of the course. Includes training and workbook. Duration: 3 Hours

CM Basics + BLS

$135/registrant

This course is based on skills and protocols from Tactical Combat Casualty Care. Skills taught include: Recognition and assessment of scene safety and massive hemorrhage, whole body sweep, tourniquet use, use of hemostatic gauze, airway management, insertion of nasopharyngeal airway, recognition of tension pneumothorax, use of chest seals, assessment and prevention of shock and hypothermia, essential civilian medical gear needed for all life settings. BLS skills including community CPR, AED training, Narcan and Epi pen administration are provided. 8 students per class. Certificate granted after successful completion of the course. Includes training and workbook. Duration: 4 Hours

Dave Brottman MD Creator and Instructor Civilian Medic

David Brottman MD (Dr. B) has worked in the healthcare industry for 30+ years as a board certified pediatrician. He created Civilian Medic to solve a problem he observed in his practice. Too many of his patients and family members did not know how to provide simple treatment in time for life threatening or time-sensitive emergencies.

He is an award-winning clinician, entrepreneur, innovator and educator. As a Pediatrician he is passionate about advancing the causes of children and is dedicated to helping the next generation of physicians to be successful. In addition to his transformative lectures and educational programs, he is a Distinguished Next Generation Personal Finance and licensed Stop the Bleed educator. He acts as a mentor to aspiring healthcare students of all ages.
